Why we need to teach children about feminism | Liam Butler | TEDxCoventGardenWomen

Feminist Brainwashing

In this highly engaging talk, 11-years-old Liam Butler shares his experience growing up as a feminist-minded child empowered to shatter existing gender paradigms. His experience illustrates how raising children through the lens of feminism builds socially conscious adults who support equality and social justice.
I am 11 years old and I live in London. I go to school and when I am older I would like to be an architect. I like to read and to write books. I believe that feminism should be taught, just like mathematics or spelling. When I grow up, I would like to live in a more equal world. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
